Desert Wildlife

We have seen coyotes in our resort and in the area, but it is usually at night. This guy had just crossed the road when we saw him in the Joshua Tree National Park. I was pleased to get a day- light picture of a coyote.

This gecko was sunbathing near the highest peak in the Joshua Tree National Park. He also cooperated and didn't run away before I got his picture. I have seen geckos while out hiking, but 'til I got the camera out, they are gone.

We also saw a couple of road runners. They, however, were too fast and were gone before I could find them in the camera view finder. I used to see a couple of road runners here in the resort, but not the last few years.
