Brown Earth Indian Church

On the drive home from The Birdfeeder, we stopped at the Brown Earth Church. Hubby and I had stopped here in 2014 on a geocaching adventure. I wanted to share this piece of history with the bookclub. The Old Indian Church ~ June 29, 2014

Annual Birdfeeder Visit

Our bookclub made our annual trip to Twin Brooks to eat at The Birdfeeder and to discuss this month's selection.

Leaving Time by Jodi Picoult

How appropriate to have a collection of elephants next to our dining table! This is my favorite Jodi Picoult book so far. I highly recommend it.

Some Odds and Ends

I am posting some odds and ends from our time in The Black Hills. The sunsets were quite colorful several evenings. The clouds did produce rain that night.

We happened upon Bridal Falls between Deadwood and Lead. Happened upon because of geocaching. I have heard of Bridal Falls, but in all the trips to The Hills over the years, this is the first time I have seen it.

This was home for the 10 days in The Hills. I never get tired of the view.

The time in The Black Hills was followed with a visit with long time friends and a family reunion on Saturday. Hubby went along with my brother and nephew when they went fishing on the Missouri River.

He calls it beginner's luck. The walleye was the largest catch of the outing. Sure did taste good for Sunday  dinner!

G'Kids Visit

Earlier this month, the grandkids spent the weekend with us. They have their requests; the park and the zoo. G'pa took them to the park...no camera. I had zoo duty. They choose the zoo because of all the animals; the ones they can climb on and around.
