Friday with Willa

Grandpa feeding Willa this evening, carrots & squash...

more food got in rather than out, so it was a successful event.

Thursday with Willa

I was gone most of the day, so my photos are quite meager...

Wednesday with Willa

Today's photos are a series of Willa looking for her hand hidden in her sleeve....

To heck with it, I'll just eat the sleeve!

Monday with Willa

Here are some of today's photos...

She was chewing on Grandpa's thumb because...

she has a new tooth and is working on the second one.

Willa and grandpa playing

She bounces in her play set until she makes herself laugh.
It is so funny to watch her bounce and the giggle.

First Christmas

Here are today's photos with Willa

Stackables cups from Aunt Steph, Uncle Shawn & Cousin Jake and shape sorter tub from Great Aunt Lynn & Great Uncle Ray.

 I'm supposed to do what?

Willa got to sit at the BIG table and eat dinner today.

It was tag-team feeding of applesauce.

For me?
Willa wearing the Santa hat and playing with today's Christmas toys; soccer ball from mommy & daddy.

Playing with finger puppets from Mommy & Daddy...

Sure, I'll make music on my new Xylophone from grandpa & grandma H.

Christmas Day with Miss Willa

We arrived safe and sound. Willa is 8 months old today. More pictures tomorrow and every day this week!

She would sit on grandma's lap but wasn't too happy when grandpa got too close.

See that...Willa is standing and reading a book from her cousin Jacob.
Grandpa had his arm out beside her just in case. That is the reason for the 'I think I'm going to cry' look.

She is jabbering more, also. We are looking forward to our 10 day stay with Willa!

Merry Christmas

Superstition Mts.

Over the last two weeks I've had opportunities to be on the south and north side of the Superstition Mountain range. I love living next to the mountain and enjoy taking it's picture.

This was a south side view.

The following photos are from the north side of the range.
It was a rather hazy morning.

See the hoo-doos on the right side?

Our Christmas Lights

I had trouble posting for awhile, but I have the problem resolved. During that frustrating couple of weeks, I intended to share the Christmas decorations & lights at our winter home. Now that it is almost for it all to come down, here are our AZ lights and those of our neighbors.

Today's Visitor

I was sitting at the kitchen window working on the computer when I noticed a bird land on the driveway. I did a double take, because it was a hawk. I mean a HAWK! I grabbed the camera, turned it on and headed for the door. Of course, opening the door startled him/her and it took flight. Hoping it had not gone far, I went down the steps and looked out back. There it was, perched on the neighbor's rooftop.

I snapped away before he/she took off and flew onto the other neighbor's roof. I continue to take pictures as he/she posed.

I think it is a Cooper's Hawk. I did some research, but am not positive.
