New Windows...Almost Done!

Cecil and his crew arrived Monday morning to begin replacing the hail damaged windows. By noon 3 windows had been prepped to be replaced and the siding around them removed. The windows arrived at noon and by late afternoon we had 3 new windows.

Tuesday the window on the left was replaced

as were the living room and bedroom windows

I/we had removed all the decor above the windows

and the pictures on the wall

just in case the pounding and nailing would move things around

then work on the siding

all the hardy board around the windows had to be removed

in 90º temps and sunshine

the new windows will be tinted or covered with screen when we return

you can see the number of boards which had to be replaced

this was all that was left to do at 10 on Wednesday morning

painting will be done while we are gone

blinds and curtains are back in place

(all the curtains were washed!)

and the windows all prepped for summer

chairs are covered to help prevent fading

ready to lock the doors and leave for summer
