The photos are a timeline of our afternoon.
our first geocaches were found at this cemetery
crossing the Vermillion River
green hillsides along the river
an old red barn and windmill
lots of fence line bird houses along river
a pontoon ready to get on the river/lake
look at all the campers out for the weekend
lake signage
and a reminder the current situation
the spillway from the lake to the river downstream
on the east side of the river/lake
a family fishing at the base of the spillway
Hubby looking for a geocache while I played photographer
some smoke plumes off in the distance
many boats on the lake, mostly fishing
some of the MANY homes along the lake
and the spillway from the west side of the river
We didn't see anyone catching fish along the shoreline. Lots of people were also enjoying the perfect April day. It was a good day for us as we found 18 geocaches, drove to an area we had not been before, and got to enjoy all the signs of spring.
