Catching Up

It has been awhile since that last post in August, and that North Dakota camping and caching adventure. The grandkids spent some time with us before school started for them. We took a couple of day geocaching excursions. And earlier this month (September) we took another camping and caching trip to Minnesota, probably the last camping and caching excursion for the summer.

This post will be about the times each grandkid spent with us.

Miss W came for the sleepover first as her brother had a scheduled friend invite.

We spent some time doing paper crafting. Her friend is moving soon, so she made a card for her. The friend's favorite color is purple. Stickers, stamping, coloring...everything except glitter!

I had purchased a camper themed coloring book, thinking the g'kids would color pictures for their Glamper. Instead, she and I colored pictures for our travel trailer. Miss W needs to finish her pic before we leave in October.

Grandpa requested chocolate chip cookies. Luckily, I had all the ingredients so we got busy, making a double batch.

M came over the next day. His time was spent playing catch with Grandpa and playing computer games. He was not interested in baking, paper crafting or coloring. He did put his new baseball glove to good use!

he also practiced his throwing

Miss W came over to our place on a Friday afternoon and we baked peach scones. I didn't take photos. We tried two different recipes; one worked and tasted better than the other. It is a keeper. It was my first 'from scratch' scone making/baking attempt, made better with the help of Miss W.
