The other Mrs. E (there are only the two of us) offered to do a window makeover for us when we moved to this house. Some cajoling and whining (from Hubby) and the project got started recently.
This south facing window was one of the pluses when we purchased this unit. Little did we know it reflected on the TV screen and was our morning wake-up with the light shining across the bedroom floor and the bed.
Our FDIL created a stained glass design and began the process of making the window into a stained glass window. (The raindrops are on the outside!)
The lead lines are almost done.
Then she began to apply the paint.
Two different glazes were painted. We are missing one of the colors. This part of the project took about 3 hours.

These are the materials or similar ones she used.
The missing color arrived this week.
The front door side window is the next project. The design has not been finalized.
And then on another note...
We met friends for dinner last Saturday and ordered Key Lime pie for dessert. The presentation was beautiful and the dessert very tasty.
It was served with boba. I had never heard of or tasted boba. Our waitress told us the name of the little gelatin type pearls and said she thought the restaurant ordered them from Amazon. Really???
According to the internet & Wikipedia: Tapioca balls are edible translucent spheres produced from tapioca, a starch extracted from the cassava root. They originated as a cheaper alternative to pearl sago in Southeast Asian cuisine. When used as an ingredient in bubble tea, they are most commonly referred to as boba or pearls.
The boba were refreshing, juicy, lime-tasting and interesting. I will never make my own boba; recipes are on the internet. And yes, you can order them in many flavors from Amazon.
