Spring Sports with the G'Kids

It is April and that means the spring sports season has begun whether or not the weather in South Dakota cooperates. The winter was very mild in our area and we missed some days of 70º temps in March. April thus far has been windy and 50º temps feeling like a chilly 40º. But we attend the events we can and thankfully, some are indoor events!

Miss W's first track meet of the season last Friday
this was the 4x200 relay
she ran the third leg

Then a day of volleyball in Watertown on Saturday

M started taekwondo lessons in February
Monday night was testing for his yellow belt
he loves the 5 times a week classes

first was a demonstration by the performance group
of martial arts students

warm-up exercises for M's group

first part of the test was on form
M takes taekwondo very seriously

then they tested on kick and punch
(M is way in the back)

his class of white and yellow belts ages 5-11
If he passed, the belt will be awarded at Saturday's class

Tuesday night Miss W's show chorus performed at
one of the city's retirement homes/centers

Inventions is 7th and 8th graders from Edison Middle School

movement for their spring performances
she loves Inventions
