Another Wednesday Adventure

Wednesday was another geocaching adventure. I have a geocaching goal while in AZ this winter ~ to cache in the other three AZ counties.

It would be possible to do all three counties in one two-day trip, but we chose to cache in Graham and Greenlee doing a day trip. We stopped in Globe to add Jon, Sherry and Dixie for the 100+ mile trip from their place. We have cached with lifeisguud before in SD, WA, and AZ. It was great to see them again after more than a year.

As much fun as a loop trip would have been because of the different landscapes, no one was excited about 500+ miles. 350+ was a long enough day, even for little Dixie, the dog.

destination? Clifton & Morenci

it was supposed to be a day of sunshine

It was after we left the Convicts Cemetery along the Black Hills Byway road and got back on Hwy 191 when a friendly AZ HP met our truck. He made a quick U-turn and followed us while Hubby reduced his speed. This friendly warning was the result of "speed greater than reasonable and prudent." Hubby thinks the near miss was because of the retired veteran plates on the truck. I think it was because of our pleasing personalities and cooperative smiles. Whatever the reason...we got a break!
