Wednesday's Excursion

A geocaching excursion took us back to the wild burros and horses at the prison in Florence this week.
a noise near the barns spooked the burros

hay bales ready for the next feeding

chutes and ladders?

mustangs enjoying their breakfast

inmates throwing bales or dropping bales on the north side

caching along the canal

drove by this unusual saguaro, again

Lil' Red visits the stone house

a lot of work went into creating the walls of this small house

the inside walls were 'sort of' smooth
a bed ready for the new owners
a Frank Lloyd Wright design? bush growing inside the house?

a work of art

this desert area was to be a planned neighborhood

the only residents are the cholla

cholla 'grapes'

a creepy old tree, or so the cache description stated

a cow enjoying the result of recent rains

our Christmas gift to us
we LOVE it and wonder why we have waited
so long to get one

ended the day with geo friends who live along the desert
enjoyed watching the rabbits, quail,  javelinas, the sunset
AND the hospitality of our hosts
