Cruise Ship-Day 1

We had chosen 2 PM as our boarding time on the cruise ship. The rental car had to be returned to downtown Miami ( the drive wasn't any better the second time!) by 11. OFD grabbed some lunch before we took the shuttle to the dock. Luckily, we were able to board early.

We had received the message our ship would not be leaving on Monday as scheduled. It needed some repairs that would not affect the safety of the passengers. All services were available to the guests... we just weren't moving out of port on Monday. That also meant we would not be stopping in Cartagena, Columbia. I was really looking forward to that stop as it would most likely be my one and only trip to South America. Another continent. Geocaching in SA & Columbia. I can honestly say that was the ONLY downer of the 11 days.

Dinner Monday evening was in the La Cucina (Italian) dining room. I have no idea what we ate, but here it is: (I did take menu photos after the first night!)

The food options were much different on the only other cruise Hubby and I have been on. Our cruise package allowed dining in 4 specialty dining rooms (by reservations). Meals, we learned after day one, included choices of appetizers, soups, salads, entrees, and dessert.
