Traveling Through Nebraska

We are on our migratory journey to warmer temps. This year we have decided to take our house with us (the travel trailer) mainly because of covid, but also because of the amount of time we plan to spend on the road getting to AZ. We spent two nights in Atkinson NE. Nothing special about the town other than it had a campground which was still open, and it was a location somewhat central to the geocaching we planned to do.

Here are some of what I consider the more interesting things we saw while traveling and geocaching central Nebraska.

The artist is Marah Sandoz of Taylor, population 182 in 2015. Her plan was to double the population with her artwork. We only saw a fraction of what she has created. The story of Marah and the Wooden People can be found here. Worth the read. We also saw some of her figures in a neighboring community.
