AZ's Oldest

On Thursday we met friends Jon and Sherry for a trip to find Arizona's oldest geocache. Hubby had found and signed the log book in the ammo can when caching with some guys January 8, 2013. He took me out in Lil' Red on January 21, 2016 so I could sign the log book. This trip was for Sherry.

chatting with geocachers from Canada
also heading to GC57
they planned to walk to the cache
we drove and then did a 3 mile loop

the gate is at the circled smiley at the top
the truck was parked at the + smiley where we began our hike
we walked to the left
the X is GC57
about a 3 mile loop until we got back to the truck
(the Canadian group of 4 hiked from the circle to the X
and back to the gate)

the rain we had on Monday was snow on Four Peaks

plenty of rocks, boulders, and washes on our quest

a perfect caching day
sunshine and temps in the high 50ºs
