A Road Trip to See Willa

We had not seen Willa since Father's Day, so we did a little road Thursday afternoon to see the kids and friends, Jerry & Linda. I don't have pictures of Jerry & Linda, but I did get some of Willa and her new toy.

 On Father's Day we had talked about Willa being ready for a push toy as she was walking on her own and a toy would help with her balance.

 I found this cute but cheap plastic lawn mower in Minneapolis and thought it would be perfect for Willa.

 Well, the handle flopped forward and would stay in place so it was useless as a push toy.
But Willa didn't mind. She used it as a pull toy!

She just walked backwards and pulled it! It made a noise and she was happy. She walked backwards from the patio door through the kitchen, through the living room to the front door. Then she would drag the lawn mower around until she was ready to walk backwards and pull it the other way. She didn't mind one bit that it wasn't working like it was intended. Grandma will have to do some shopping for a better quality push toy!
