Finally, After Six Years...

Since the winter in early 2006 when we learned about Eloy AZ we have wanted to travel the 60 or so miles to the Eloy airport and watch the sky divers. We finally got the opportunity on Monday to watch a group of 5 friends take to the azure skies at SkyDive Arizona. What a fun day!

Bob, in red, made the arrangements. On the left is Jerry from Sioux Falls, SD, Bob L from MI, Bob P from Maine, Joe from ON, and Dan from CO. We have known some of these guys since 2006. They are all fellow hikers.

Bob P is getting suited up for his jump.
His tandem partner is on the left, also in red.
Time: 12:01

The professional is adjusting the straps and a professional videographer, in blue, for which Bob paid extra is on the right. Time: 12:03

The peanut gallery! Besides the five spouses, nine friends and family members went along to cheer on brave souls.

From the instructional area to the airplane via trailer...Joe, Bob P, Dan, Bob L & Jerry

With them on the trailer were the 3 videographers, their 5 tandem partners seated along the back of the trailer, and on the other side of the trailer bench were 5 single jumpers who would be jumping first.

 That's their plane

And here comes the first jumper...Bob P

On the ground, safe & sound

The videographer getting some final comments!

And there they are.
Time 12:38
It was such a fun day! I hope we go back next week as I did not
get all the pictures I wanted. There were/are some Finnish Military
stationed at the airport now. We will be able to sit at another field and watch the
military skydivers do their thing.
