Hiking the Black Mesa Loop

Curt and '40 some' other hikers walked into the Superstitions on a beautiful Friday morning. We did this same hike in February 2011. Interesting to see how we viewed Black Mesa Loop last winter. I say we as I went along last February for part of the hike. Here are some of Curt's photos from 2012.

 a beautiful blue sky

 a stately ocotillo,
also known as desert coral, coachwhip, Jacob's staff, & vine cactus

 a unique saguaro

a hillside of saguaros

 another interestingly shaped saguaro

 Weaver's Needle and another saguaro

 view of Weaver's Needle

doesn't that look like a lizard,
head on the right, tail on the left, with legs?
