Time with the GrandKids

McBe and Miss W got to spend a couple of day with us the end of July. Their requests? Go to the zoo and to the park. Easy enough. Grandpa took park duty and I did zoo duty.

They requested photos at EVERY billboard!

And a photo op in the nest.

There was an ice cream run, some time playing baseball with McBe and some geocaching. All easy requests.

We have also been spending time with them at their home the month of August. Miss W had the training wheels removed from her bike and has made great progress. She had some help from Mom and Dad on the weekend. Grandpa worked with on Tuesday and Wednesday. By the third day she was starting by herself and balancing alone. 

She learned to get one pedal at the top to begin pedaling.

It doesn't hurt as much on the grass when you tip or fall.

The helmet has since been adjusted.

She also needed to learn how to stop by braking.

She learned that skill between last week and this as well 

as turning and steering. Grandpa said she rode around the block 

while he was there earlier this week.
