Road Trip to Yuma

Last weekend was the second weekend in February which means the South West Area Geocachers were once again organizing events to encourage geocachers from around the country (world) to come to Yuma and geocache. We chose to go on Wednesday although the events did not start until Friday. Sometimes it is nice to have the desert and roads to ourselves before the other hundreds of folks arrive, looking for the same thing.

We spent most of Wednesday afternoon in the desert. I can honestly say in the seven years we have been coming to this event, I have NEVER seen this many wildflowers in the desert around Yuma.
