Thursday in Yuma

We spent the first half of the day driving some of the farm roads looking for geocaches and the second half with another couple of geocachers from the resort driving around the community looking at the murals and finding a specified word or number to earn credit for the geocache.

interesting tour bus

a patch of African daisies
I have learned their growing season is over
the ones in the wild will bloom for another month or so

I wanted to buy some and put them in a pot
need to do that earlier in the season

an interesting critter sitting on the wall near a geocache
HUGE

more desert flowers

plastics swirling in the canal pump station

more of the purple flowers I don't know the name of

flooded citrus field
one form of irrigation

Marine air base was busy entertaining us

followed one as it was landing

Then it was off to look for specific murals around town...

some were summer park projects by students

some by professionals

and others for advertisement

We ended the day eating at Lutes Casino in old town Yuma. Busy. Loud. Interesting. Good food, fast. Tomorrow is another day...
