Deer Creek Hike

Today was a 6.5 mile hike along Deer Creek, 67 miles from CV. It was a very good hike because:
1) we hiked along a creek bed
2) we were in a grassland, not the mountains; a different flora
3) I hiked 4 miles
4) I hiked at the end of the group, alone
5) I took more than 100 pictures
6) we got to eat lunch at a restaurant along Saguaro Lake on the way back to CV

This was a new hike for most of the CVHC. Thirty-one members made the long drive. Most of us thought it was a perfect hike...a nice change to the mountains and desert. Here are just a few of my 100...

Those green shirts are the new CVHC t-shirts.

They wouldn't go for Curt's safety green!

Deciduous trees instead of saguaros and cholla

A little snow on the far mountain

Great hike. Thanks, George!
