Buffalo Gap

Until today I did not realize Buffalo Gap was a town. Well, maybe town is a stretch. (I think it has a post office, so town it is.) It is more like a gathering of houses a mile off a state highway. Why was I in Buffalo Gap in the first place? But of course, GEOCACHING. We were on a mission to find the cemetery. We did and then Hubby allowed a little tour of the 3 or 4 square block village.

The School

We think it is now an apartment building.
Isn't it an interesting old school house?

The population was 126 the last census.

History of Buffalo Gap

It is well worth the read!
