Rodeo Action Shots

This is the best of the rodeo action shots. The very best are when the animals stood still, but that isn't what a rodeo is all about. The horses ridden by the pick-up men are all the close-up photos... beautiful, well-mannered animals, doing their job, waiting patiently for their cue to go to work.

Eleven cowboys/girls competed in each of seven events hoping for enough money to compete at the year-end event in Las Vegas. Some hoped to improve their standings. Some hoped to add to their winnings for 2017. Some were successful. Some went home empty handed. Seven won a new saddle and a large belt buckle for their team's effort.
