Last week Miss W finally collected one of her birthday gifts, a photography day with grandma. She had gotten a camera for Christmas and I thought a day devoted to the two of us and our cameras would be something special. We had talked about location possibilities and since neither of us had been to the Japanese Gardens, that was where we started.
started in 1926 and developed until 1936
Once a teacher, always a teacher...I wanted to share tips with her. The cool thing about today's cameras, we can see the photo immediately and delete or re-shoot with adjustments. That also drains the batteries rather quickly...

and posing time
we tried reflection photos, perfect conditions for them

we left when other kids dropped by
We had lunch downtown. She ordered a Mac'n Cheese pizza and it was surprisingly very good. We spent time walking and looking at some of the statues and then spent time at the Pavilion where she spent every Wednesday last summer. On this day, many kids and very few masks and no one sanitizing. All the kids were with adults and it was free range. We left and got ice cream before heading to the
Arc of Dreams and a walk along the river.
I shared with Miss W the artist who created the Arc of Dreams
also created Dignity which she has seen
