The Mardi Gras Parade at the resort was on Fat Tuesday, March 1st. Here are some photos of how we seniors celebrate Mardi Gras.

After the parade we went to the Dunk Tank for some fun. The Dunk Tank was a MD Anderson Cancer Center fund raiser. Hubby donated some money and tried his luck at hitting the lever to dump the brave volunteer. The donation goes to a good cause, one that I was involved in from the beginning more than 10 years ago. I'm proud to know it continues to raise money for cancer research and treatment. We enjoyed the music and festive atmosphere with Bill and Donna.
Over the years I have noticed: There are more riders than walkers. There are fewer parade entries. Fewer resort groups/clubs are participating. The after-parade party was REALLY popular whether it was the band, the lovely weather, or the cheap alcohol, the patio area was crowded. We were fortunate to get a table.
