Ladies Day Out

A small group of us have gotten together for a ladies day out to some interesting site in the Valley of the Sun. In February 2010 we went to an Arts' Fair in downtown Mesa. In late January 2011 we went to the Musical Instrument Museum. (see posts from Feb. 2010 & Jan. 2011) Last Thursday we went to downtown Scottsdale to an artists reception at an art gallery.

Nancy had met the artist last summer while she, the artist, was visiting her mother who was a friend of a friend of Nancys. The artist shared information about her work and the upcoming reception. The perfect destination for the 2012 Ladies Day Out downtown Scottsdale.

This area of Scottsdale was rather quiet at 4:00 in the afternoon.
 carriage rides anyone?

Our first stop was a gallery showcasing Native American artists.
