The Hills Are Alive...
with the color of Mexican poppies! The December rain must have come at the right time because the hikers are seeing poppies on the mountain sides. Wednesday's hike to Walnut Canyon was new to Curt. It showed as he took 69 very good photos. I had a hard time selecting which ones to post.
This was not the group's first trip to Walnut Canyon. They took this hike while we were in California the end of December. The hikers arriving in January also missed this hike and requested a return visit as it was touted as 'the hike that has something for everyone'. I intended to go along, but the ankle isn't in tip-top shape and I had scheduled a massage for early that afternoon. The massage was wonderful. But so was the hike. Judge for yourself...
