We are helping with daycare for a few days as Willa has been exposed to hand-foot & mouth disease at daycare. Although she (Willa) exhibited some of the symptoms late last week and over the weekend, she has one of the lightest cases possible. That is OK. She isn't acting sick, so that makes our/my job a lot easier.
This was our Tuesday morning:
She woke crying (unusual) at around 6:30 a.m. (also unusual)
She was in a good mood though and ate a good breakfast of a mini banana muffin, a strawberry & cream muffin, some banana, and some fruit smoothie (with chocolate).
At 9:00 G'pa wanted to start his to-do projects. Somebody wanted to help. I was asked/told to distract her.
We went out to the front yard where she rode her new toy from G'ma H.
Sometimes she pushed it. Then we had to find another distraction because she wanted to ride along with G'pa when he went to get parts for his projects.
We went to the backyard. She sat in the chair,
ran through the grass,
threw wood chips through the trellis,
played with some stacking cups while singing songs,
drank some milk while sitting on the big chair. About 11:45 I asked her if she wanted fish sticks and strawberries for lunch. She said yes.
I noticed her head was bobbing while she was chewing the last of the fish sticks. A dry diaper, one story, a hug and asleep in her bed by 12:13.
