A Quiet House

The grand kids went back home last Monday. The grand dog came home with us. The other E family was going on a family trip and there was no room for Rocco, so he came to our house for a week. He retuned home on Monday. The house is quiet. (written on Monday 6/2)

I realize I am behind on posts, again. We leave on Wednesday for a trip to Chicago with our favorite daughter, so there will be some fun photos and adventures to share.

Here are some more G'kids photos from more park and playground adventures. On Sunday we went back to our neighborhood park.

We tried to teach Miss W how to 'pump' so we

wouldn't have to push so often...no luck

 After spending some time on the 'little kids' equipment, we headed to the other corner of the park to the 'bigger kids' playground. Miss W, loved it of course.

She made it!

Then Mcbe's turn

Not the look of pure joy, but he did make several trips

We encouraged him to try the taller twisty slide

He climbed more steps

And zipped down sideways

He loved it!

He also tried going up like his sister

maybe next year...

On Monday morning we visited the school playground where G'pa was a principal. Playground equipment for the young kids has been added since he retired. Miss W saw the school playground when we were in the area on Sunday at a senior's graduation reception. We promised we would stop on Monday.

That equipment is more for climbing

Miss W could 'do' most of it

but Mcbe was too little.

He liked running over the bridge.

I think we will stay with the neighborhood park.
