Friday in Chicago

We are in Chicago for an extended weekend with Our Favorite Daughter. She asked if we'd like to vacation with her. She was confident we'd say yes as we do not have any geocaches in IL or MI or IN.  The invite was too perfect to pass up. So here we are...in Chicago.

Since it is OFD's vacation, she has chosen what to see. The compromise is we get to geocache. It has worked quite well. Thursday was a travel day. Friday was a tourist day. We left OFD at the Field Museum and we cached in the area. I had forgotten how close the museums are to Lake Michigan. That is one great decision (there may be others) the city 'fathers' did right in this community. There are NO houses, condos, hotels, or businesses along the shore of the lake. The lakeshore is parks and paths for EVERYONE to enjoy.  And enjoy we did.

Among other things, OFD wanted to see Sue,
the T-Rex dinosaur found at Faith SD,
now displayed in this museum

I enjoyed watching the boats
