The Final Christmas Market

Saturday was our last day in Paris. We had several options on the tentative schedule, but all 3 of us agreed we were tired and ready to go home. So no day trip to Versailles. No bus tour of Paris. No more museums or churches. Let's SHOP! Hubby and I had not done the obligatory souvenir shopping. We also decided to experience the Paris Metro system. OFD studied the maps, bought the tickets and we were off to the Christmas Market along Avenue Champs Elysees.

This market was laid out much differently than the others we'd been to on this adventure. The shops lined this major traffic artery of Paris, both sides of the street. So we walked up one side and down the other checking out the food and the shops. Not many people were out and about when we started but by the time we were ready to head back to the hotel, it was much busier.

This is a sampling of the Parisian Christmas Market...
