Friday at Home

For the followers I have at home, you can ignore today's post. You have seen it and really don't want to see any more. But for the rest of my followers who have not suffered a winter that will not end, you may want to check it out.

We arrived in South Dakota Tuesday morning, aware that the weather would be changing in the next day or two. We did a bit of geocaching in the Yankton area, and then headed to see the grand kids and their parents. We had planned to drive home late Tuesday trying to beat the weather. The kids convinced us to spend the night, so we did, leaving early in the morning. The weather cooperated enough we were able to unload the van before it started to rain and sleet for an hour or so. Snow started falling Thursday morning, ending about 5:00 PM. It was more of a nuisance than anything.

This morning, Friday, the sun is shining and the snow is melting in the raw temps. It looks more like March 19th than April 19th.

I won't have to worry about buying plants in the next few weeks

A little icy on the north sidewalk

The flower bed in the front of the house

Dripping icicles

The south side of the house from the front door

The perennial flower bed
No tulips or iris peeking through the snow
