After the Rain

I thought I would share photos after the rain. This was the sky and the Superstition Mt. this morning.

The clouds are covering the mountain top.

Saturday night it sprinkled a bit before 11:00 pm and then rained hard with some lightning, thunder, and strong winds. Winds strong enough to remove an RV awning that was not out, but rolled in its protective metal case at the top of the RV. The wind also whipped the awning case from some of its attachments to the RV. We did not have any damage, but I wanted to share the results of an AZ valley rain.

This is the top of the patio table which is out in the open at the corner of the side & back patios.

This is the top of the grill, which was clean before the rain. It is located at the back of the shed & house.

This is the fire pit cover. We have it setting on the rocks at the back between our house and our neighbors. Those 'pink' lines are dirt residue.

I am surprised the cover stayed on after hearing about the RV awning.

Our deck looks out to the west and is protected by a metal awning that covers it and our vehicle.

You can see the rain residue on the deck table, next to the house.

I grabbed a dry paper towel and wiped the table just to show the dirt.

The dry, fine AZ dirt that was in the air is now all over the just recently washed house, car, and windows! The windows will have to be cleaned again. This time, by me. We will wash all the outdoor furniture, too.

The rain cleared the air and brought cooler temps, in the mid 60s for a daytime high. We are wearing long pants and long sleeves. Yeah, yeah, I know. It is most likely warmer than wherever you are.
