We have been here a week and are feeling settled, sort of. Today there was a storm warning; storm warning by AZ standards for early November. The folks up north were buying snow shovels in anticipation of the first snow fall. Our area was looking at a dust storm and maybe some rain. This is what the sky was looking like this afternoon...
There is a mountain behind the one you are seeing on the right of the photo. The blowing dirt obstructed our view of the Superstition Mountains.
Off to the east, the mountain range was somewhat visible. Tonight the air smells like rain, and does smell fresh, despite all the dirt blowing around all day.
A sure way to get the rain to fall is to have the house and windows washed! Oh well. The rain is desperately needed and I guess I can wash the windows.
