A geocache was located along the fence
Interesting why two corners of the building are still standing
Wild roses blooming in the ditch
The cattle started coming to the fence when we
stopped to look for the cache
Curious Creatures
This cache title was Classic
Perfect title
Worn out cowboy boots topping the fence posts
The farmer told us the Mexicans stop by and take them off,
have them resoled and wear 'em
(The farmer had a flat tire on his tractor, was curious as to why
we were along his fence line, then asked for a lift to his farm
We obliged, gladly)
A fuzzy close-up
We saw this idea in a couple of other fields near Norfolk
We stopped at the river (Elkhorn?) to find a Letter Box cache
The old water level/gate control building
Three of the gates were used to make a back drop for a small
flower garden along the river
Two cement animals in a nearby park
Wouldn't kids have fun climbing and riding?
Pilger 'lake'
Two geocaches were located in this cemetery
at Pilger NE
A rose bush has been planted at this grave site
Yes, a young child
We had been driving through hill country for two days
And I mean HILLY country
I was shocked when I looked at this photo taken from the hill
in the cemetery and saw FLAT land in the upper part
of the photo
REALLY FLAT
Must be river bottom
Lots of glacial action took place millions of years ago
around the Norfolk NE area
