We were very happy to spend a few days after traveling with very strong winds the previous two days. At one time, while I was driving, and Hubby was planing to take a wee nap, the wind coming off the hills/mountains in ID was so strong, it whipped the travel trailer enough to send a message to the truck's dashboard. The extra light, and the sudden whip scared the **** out of me. I pulled over to the side of the road and made Hubby check everything to make sure we were OK to continue traveling. We had never experienced that type of wind and whipping before. Thankfully, that was the only gust of that kind. Both of us had sore shoulders, arms and hands at the end of each of those days. So several days of non-interstate driving was AWESOME!
this was the terrain most of the time

I think that was an osprey.
ReplyDeleteWe have cached in this area too. We tend to stop in Mountain Home on our way from Arizona to Portland.
