I handed a travel bug to him to take back to Paris
and continue its journey in Europe
a few more people showed up than are in the photo
6 of them were from France
we had a great time visiting in a parking lot of a mall
then we crossed the Columbia River and headed north
trees lined the interstate most of the way

we stopped at the visitor center, but did not take the
2 hour drive to the next visitor center
met many logging trucks on the side roads & on I-5

all the haze is from the forest fires
the Ranger told us they are small fires, but the ash
is becoming very noticeable

ending the evening with another geocaching event
a couple from Sioux Falls SD was in attendance
our CV friends Jon & Sherry
and a new to geocaching couple
