The Bubble Gum Wall

The two of us joined 18 other folks for a bus tour of the city on Monday. More about the tour in another post. This post is about the Bubble Gum Wall in the Market Center, near the docks. It is a Farmer's Market of sorts.

We were looking for only one geocache while on the tour. As soon as we got off the bus, we hot-footed it down the street, into the alley to the Bubble Gum wall.

the brick wall is COVERED in chewed bubble gum

tourists taking photos and chewing to add to the
wall's collection

we met other geocachers also looking for the
fake gum geocache

we had sticks for probing and prodding
some people wear surgical gloves
none of us did

the geocache is between her thumb and finger
it's very small and covered with a
disgusting green glob

one happy group when we found it
we worked a good 30 minutes on this one

logging the cache on their smart phones

we did not have any reliable hints
it was LUCK as much as anything
hand sanitizer was shared all around

this cache was definitely one of my favorites
disgusting, but a favorite because of the ingenuity of the cache owner
