Fat Tuesday

So what happens on Fat Tuesday in a retirement community? I don't know about other communities, but our community celebrates Mardi Gras. The day started with a parade, had a noon meal, followed by a happy hour.

I have posted photos from the Mardi Gras parade whenever we are here. But this year's parade was better than last year's parade. There are some very creative residents at CV.

The Tenth Street folks must spend all summer getting ready for events. Last year they had the dragon. This year they were birds. Here are photos from the Tenth Street gang. Their signs speak for themselves.

this is a three-part photo

these three gals put a lot of work into their bird costumes

Then there was the group that portrayed a Jazz Funeral. I think this was also a street group, but I don't know which one.
