We drove...Hubby drove from St. Louis to Joplin, from the eastern border to the western border. I was in charge of the camera and the map, where I learned more MO geography.
Six Flags
the town name just caught my fancy
when I saw it on the water tower
a modern day Stonehenge
more stone cutting technology
by the college students and professor
more color in the trees in the week we have been in MO
have you been to Jimmy Johns?
the sign reminded me of the women's bathroom in a JJ
OK...my warped sense of humor
wind out of the north, bringing cooler temps
Hubby didn't, but my Dad did his basic at Fort Leonard Wood
until today, I thought it was one word Leonardwood...
red leaves at a rest stop
also at the rest stop
But at another I-40 Rest Stop....
one of the most interesting rest stops
had a Route 66 theme
all the picnic shelters has a 'business' theme
Very CUTE, Attractive, FUN
certainly got an education on this man
amazing he did his discoveries in the 1920s & 30s
part of the honoring monument
maple tree on the courthouse lawn
mural across the street of the courthouse square in Marshfield
roses in bloom on October 19th at the courthouse
also across the street from the courthouse
renovating the historic building
our weather on the drive
Joplin MO
St. Louis is just above and near the last I in Missouri
not what I expected to see on the casino grounds
Hubby got their attention with a whistle
NOT his whiny impression...thank goodness!
We are headed west. We have 3 more states to add to our 16 State GeoAdventure. Should arrive at our winter home early next week.
