The Reason for STL

The reason for our visit to St. Louis was the geocaching events held on the weekend. Friday night was an opportunity to get our registration packet and info. Sometimes, it is an opportunity to meet fellow geocachers and get the 'lay of the land.'

Saturday morning it was back across the Mississippi River

didn't feel any different than the regular floor

We did not hang around long at either event. We visited with the people we wanted to see. We had geocached all day, so did not want to geocache in the city Friday night. On Saturday, we got to the event early for parking purposes because the museum was open to the public for the day; only an area on one floor was closed and only available for geocachers. We walked about a mile to get some of the event geocaches, spent some time at the museum and were ready to call it a day by noon. Climbing and crawling did not interest us, nor did the attractions on the roof top. The museum was full and noisy by when we left. The actual event is rather anti-climatic. We have decided not to attend another one. We enjoy the AZ events so much more, mostly because we know more people and because it is not a big, unfamiliar city to try to drive. We have three more days in IL/MO...I am certain we will find something to do.
